Coaches
The KLSC has taken the Responsible Coaching Movement pledge. We are committed to practices including the Rule of Two, Ethics Training, and Background Screening to ensure that we are providing an environment for our athletes that is SAFE, SMART, and SECURE.

Coaching applications are now being accepted for our 2026 Inferno teams. Please see the information for each age group below for more specific details.
Youth Competitive (Rep) Teams (U14-U18) - Head coaches have been selected for all teams. Assistant coach applications are still being accepted at this time, and assistant coaches will be named in consultation with the head coach.
Youth Development (Rep) Teams (U10-U13) - Head coaches have been selected for all of our first teams, but we are still looking for second team head coaches for our U13 Boys. Assistant coach applications are also being accepted at this time, and assistant coaches will be named in consultation with the head coach.
Youth Fundamentals Teams (U5-U9) - Coaching applications are now being accepted for this age group. Coaching selections will be made at a later date.

If you are a new or returning Inferno Coach, please do the following:
All coaches (including assistant coaches) MUST complete the following requirements. Coaches may not be on the team bench during a game unless all of these steps are completed. The club will reimburse the cost of the courses when a coach has completed all requirements and is on the team roster.

*Managers of U9-U18 Inferno teams must also complete the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course, as well as Making Ethical Decisions and Making Headway.

1 - Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Screening
2 - Canada Soccer Grassroots Course - Theory Module (online 1.5-2 hours)
*Please note: the theory module MUST be completed before the practical component is done in person
3 - Canada Soccer Grassroots Course - Practical Module (in person - approximately 4-6 hours)

4 - Make Ethical Decisions course (online or in person - 4 hours)
5 - Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course (online - 2.5 hours)
6 - Making Head Way Module (online - 90 minutes)
7 - Emergency Action Planning Module (online - 15 minutes)
8 - Rule of Two Module (online - 20 minutes)
