KLSC Fall Soccer Update

In September, our club is usually focused on three things: celebrating our youth teams at our annual Inferno banquet, hosting tryouts and assessments for next summer's Inferno teams, and getting our various programs up and running for the indoor soccer season.  Unfortunately, due to COVID, this is far from a typical September.  A lot of details are still very much up in the air, but here is a quick summary of the current situation...

2021 Inferno Teams:  Ontario Soccer has indicated that clubs are prohibited from hosting tryouts this fall, so we are unable to run our usual fall tryouts and player assessments at this time.  Returning players from our 2020 Inferno teams will be contacted this fall, offered a spot on next summer's team, and asked to register for next summer.  Open roster spots on our Competitive teams will be filled at tryouts in the new year (either in the gym or outdoors in the spring).  New players will also be recruited for our Development and FUNdamentals programs during the off season.

Indoor Soccer Leagues:  Our indoor leagues (mixed adult, over 30, and youth) have been postponed and we will not be registering players at this time.  Gym bookings are not currently available through the school board, and we are also trying to figure out how COVID return to play protocols will work for our indoor programs.  The club is hopeful that we will be able to run our indoor leagues this winter, but we must acknowledge the possibility that the indoor season may be delayed for several months, or even cancelled.

Additional updates will be posted on our website when more information is known.  We hope to see all of you again soon!
